How to create a MySQL database through MySQL® Database Wizard in cPanel?




In this article, I will show you how to create a MYSQL database through MySQL® Database Wizard. This wizard guides you through the setup of a MySQL® database, user accounts, and user privileges.

You can create a database by logging into your Yournic control panel.



To set up a database, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Create A Database

. In the New Database text box, enter a name for the database and Click “Next Step”.





Step 2: Create Database Users

. In the “Username text box”, enter a name for the user who you wish to allow to manage the database.
. Enter a password in the “Password field”.

Important Notes

The password must be 7 letters or shorter.
For help generating a strong password, click the Password Generator button

. Retype the password in the “Password (Again) field”.
. Click “Create User”.





Step 3: Define a user’s privileges

. Select the checkboxes that correspond to the privileges that you want to grant the user, or select ALL PRIVILEGES and click “Next Step”.





Step 4: Complete the task




You have now successfully created a database in Cpanel. The new database will appear in the Current Databases table.
