Why do people send spam?

Spam email is the equivalent to junk mail that you receive by post. Spammers will target large groups of email addresses in one go to try to sell products, direct users towards phishing websites or even steal personal data.

 

The products that spammers are trying to sell are usually something you don’t need, so the best way to prevent spam email is to move the email to a spam folder, and block the sender so that they cannot send you more email.
