When you receive spam emails, there are a few steps you can take in order to prevent more spam emails being delivered to your mailbox.
Delete the email
When you receive a spam email, it is advisable to delete it to keep your inbox clear of junk email.
Block the email address.
If spam filters are not blocking spam emails you can blacklist the email address so that any emails still coming for that email address will be reject from coming into your inbox.
Chain Mail
You should not forward chain mail to anyone as you are spreading unwanted email to people. Most chain mails are spam emails and therefore you will be forwarding spam emails and this could get your email blocked by peoples spam filters.
Report the spam emails.
If you have received a spam email and you are worried that it could be a fraud case or false advertisement. Please report it so that the proper authority who can deal with it.
Please do not ever:
– Reply to spam emails
– Donate to charities via emails
– Provided banks details via email.
