What is spam?

Spam is electronic junk mail. Spammers will target large groups of email addresses in order to try and sell products, direct users towards phishing websites or steal personal data.

What to do if you receive spam.

The most common and sensible thing to do is to ignore spam. Delete the email straight away and block the sender of the spam email, so that they cannot send you anymore spam.

We advise you to never click on links within spam email as this may direct you towards harmful websites and programs. It is essential that you have an anti virus program installed on your machine and run frequent scans to keep your personal details and equipment safe.
